Last week, self-styled musical Taliban,
Oritsefemi released court papers accusing his ex-manager, Yusuf Adepitan
‘Danku’ of fraud and threatening his life. He followed up by unveiling a new
manager, Eniola Olofin as his new rep. Now, his label, Avatar has released a
statement to the back up the singer on the change of his manager. The statement
reads: ‘The management of one of the foremost and talented musicians in Nigeria
‘Oritesefmi a.k.a Musical Taliban’ has been reorganized. The erstwhile manager,
Adebola Yusuf Adepitan a.k.a Danku, having decided to set out on a musical
career of his own has been replaced. ‘The label ‘Avatar’ is now directly
managing Oritsefemi and the management team includes Bayo and Eniola Olofin
a.k.a The Count. Consequently, all pending and future contracts and businesses
should be directed to the aforesaid team members. ‘We have heard the rumours
trending about the present position of Oritsefemi and the label and we assure
the fans and the general public that there is no substance to these rumours. We
have music videos lined up to be released soon. Oritsefemi is also booked for
various upcoming shows. ‘Oritsefemi is dedicated to the music and the love for
his passion will not waiver.’ Oritsefemi’s ex-manager, Danku has been
unreachable since the news broke as we gathered he’s currently out of the
country. However, he is said to be unveiling plans to register a label and kick
off a music career for him....
