Ebony Life TV, the new network that’s the brainchild
of Mo Abudu will launch in a matter of weeks, according to sources at
the Tinapa-based media company.
To be seen in over 40 African countries, courtesy of DSTV, Ebony Life
will be driven by mainly entertainment and lifestyle programming, most
of which are ready to air. The channel prides itself as ‘Africa’s first
global black entertainment network’.
A launch event will hold here in Lagos next month, AMEBO has been told
by those who know. The network will first broadcast on DSTV, before
extending to SKY in the UK, and DISH in the US.
A super ambitious venture, it is possible Ms. Abudu got some N2bn
bank funding for the project, which is her most daring experiment yet in
a career that’s seen her break grounds in human capital management,
events and media.
