Three members of a robbery gang suspected to have robbed Wasiu Alabi Pasuma of his Range Rover SUV have been arrested by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), Ikeja, Lagos.
In May 2013, the Fuji Star was attacked
by armed robbers who made away with his SUV at Amadiyah area of Egbeda.
They also robbed him of an unspecified amount of money.
The Vanguard reports that the suspected robbers identified as Fatai Balogun, Wale Akinjobi and Gbenga Kolawole
confessed to robbing the Fuji Star, during interrogation. The robbers
are said to have travelled from neighbouring state Ogun to carry out the
operation.
The suspected leader of the group Ade is still on the run.
A crew member’s sloppiness apparently
led to the group’s apprehension. The criminals had also attacked a man
in the Iju Ishaga area of Lagos and stole his N500,000. One of the
criminals, Wale (who resides in that area of Lagos) was caught by a
neighbour burying his weapon. The neighbor then alerted SARS and he
(Wale) was arrested.
